About The Skin Whisperer
As a former runway and print model, April Cook had a backstage look at the harmful marketing tactics implemented by the beauty industry and the devastating emotional and mental damage they create as a result. She saw that these standards of beauty had nothing to do with self-love or health— quite the opposite actually. Heartbroken that many of her friends resorted to harmful interventions to keep up it became her mission to see restoration in health and beauty mindset. From this experience, she developed a passion to help people heal their body image. Her goal is to shift her client's focus from perfection to achieving the healthiest version of themselves by working with your body instead of against it.
In 2017, April founded Skin Whisperer with the mission to help clients tackle the internal root cause of any beauty obstacle and treat the surface as well with Oncology friendly and Pregnancy safe options available.
The name is a nod to the Yaqui Indian teachings passed down from her great grandfather to her mother to her. She strives to implement fully holistic practices with non-invasive technology to remedy any skin concern for clients from all backgrounds with various skin types. As a Holistic LE and Advanced Body Contour and Skin Tightening Certified technician, she gives clients results-driven face and body contouring. For clients who are over the Botox, fillers, painful beauty experiences, and liposuction, April will empower you with a unique, new way to #loveyourtrueself.
